Pokemon Go is all the craze in mobile gaming and its attracting many non-gamers. At the initial stages of the games, a player collects as many Pokemons (those cute adorable creatures) within the player's surrounding and search for Pokestops to refill their inventory supplies. Collect a Pokemon in the Wild by throwing one pokeball at a time to trap them.
Some how, caught Pokemon will be tamed and help the player to challenge other players at a later stage.
A Gym looks like a tower with a square base at its top. Its color determine which team "owns" it. Here, Team Mystic in blue owns the 2 towers on the left and centre of the screen.
Pokemon placed in the Gym is shown if you wait a little. This help players prepare which Pokemon to use in their strategy to conquer that Gym. Below shows a Vaporeon is placed in the left Gym where anyone who tries to challenge that gym will meet it.
Below shows the player that have placed a Flareon of Combat Power (CP) 741 to defend the Level 3 Gym.
The opponent Pokemon will attack once the Go is given, so be prepared. Status of each Pokemon is displayed at the top of the screen along with the Pokemon names. Switch Pokemon during the Gym battle with the Switch (up and down arrows) button during the game. Its at these times that I see some adults passing the game to experienced gamers (like their 10 year old child) to win the battle.
There are 3 main manouvers in a fight.
Whoever's HP reach zero loses. This is indicated by a bar next to the Pokemon's name.
A strong reason to own a Gym, is to earn Pokecoins if you can hold the Gym for the day. Typically, 100 Pokecoins buy you 20 Poke balls. Which, lets you get one step closer to catching all the Pokemons.
Wow, what fun!
