Easter Suicide Bomb in Lahore

Without love, what is man? On 27 March 2016, a suicide bomber caused the death of over 72 people at a park in Pakistan. Reading the many articles describes the lack of love and compassion for our fellow humans. On 28 March 2016, The Guardian wrote  Lahore bombing victims buried as grief turns to anger over safety of Christians There is something of deep concern when anyone can justify killing children and women at the playgrounds. There is a feeling not of anger but a deep pain inside of me. Yes, these murders are happening more frequently across the globe, only the few that is highlighted. At a glance these murderers and suicide committers have no love of life. What drives them? Who knows? I see that it could be due to an ideology, systematic programming of the mind, threats to their love ones, poverty, despair or maybe a psychological disorder. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seekin...

Let man not take away what has been joined by the higher forces

Annulment, is it reserved for only Catholics? Just read an article from Catholic World Report. These days the pressure of work, income, catching up with the Jones and parents upbringing can lead to marital stress. Its good if couples can take the time to be open to each other. Struggling relationships need extra work from both couples, and the bumpy journey can at times be a long one. Looking at many long lasting relationships, its a matter of commitment and then happiness comes in little parcels. Like christmas presents. Wishing all couples to have the feel of the couple in the year 2013 (click  video ). Its called The Most Amazing Marriage Proposal Ever.

Interesting Catholic discussion

Seems like there are a few places of interest online for Catholics in recent times. Here is a compilation of some sites of interest to me. On 13th March 2013, the council elected the church Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis. (Vatican Link ) Head of Perkasa (Malay rights champion?) and the bible (Reuters Link ) Review of the Christian Community Bible: Catholic Pastoral Edition. (Catholic Bible  Link ) New Community Bible draws negative sentiment in India. (An India Blog  Link ) Is there a desire for Pets to be in heaven? ( Herald Malaysia  Link ) What other denominations think about the recent bible issue in Malaysia ( Catholic lawyers  Link ) Catholic funny (Google+ Link ) Where to buy Catholic bibles in Malaysia? Christian Community Bible . Daughters of St Paul (No link) Technology was around way back then and when someone says follow me, its got a different meaning those days.

Vatican call to condem terrorism

Its nice to hear the Catholic Church doing lots of work for peace, with the most recent by Pope Francis (See Malaysian newspapers, TheSun on 2 Dec 2014). Its really challenging to fight the tides for these leader to bring peace. For example, due to opportunistic attacks, Pope Benedict speech in 2006 at University of Regensburg was totally turned around to make it seem like it was an anti-Islam speech. Excerpt of the speech is below; The twisting of this speech led to mass protest around the world, and one article explained, AsiaNews.it on 15 Nov 2006 . Strange that calls for peace are met with obstacles but, widespread koran verses like Sūrah 2, 191-193, in which Muslims are urged to kill those guilty of al-fitnah (sedition) doesn't seem to find itself short of followers. Its fitting that the Pope made his speech in a university, will religious scholars be less quite on attempts to bring unity and peace around the world?
