Li Chun marks the beginning of the Chinese Calendar in the old days. Its marked in the chinese calendar to indicate the sun being at celestial longitude 315degree and is celebrated as Chinese New Year. "In the lunisolar calendar, New Year's Day might be before or after Lichun. A year without Lichun is called 無春年 (no spring year). 無春年 is also known as 寡婦年 (widow year) in northern China or 盲年 (blind year) in southern China. Marriage is believed to be unlucky in a year without Lichun" source wikipedia . During this time it is easier to balance an egg. Its been raining in the evenings. Most of the time, Orion is very prominent in the skies standing with his two dogs Canis Major (bottom left) and Canis Minor (top right). Orion can be used to find all the other stars. Here is my rendition of the stars. The Orion and his dogs Orion: Betelgeuse is red (top left shoulder), Bellatrix (top right shoulder), rigel is bright white (bottom right knee). Orion holds his bow on the right pointing to strike Taurus. Canis Minor: Two stars. Procyon is just below Gemini. Canis Major (dog star): Sirius is the brightest star.
