Unfolding MAS MH17 Tragedy

Here is a log of some events from the recent MH17 tragedy on 17 July 2014 that I have followed

17.7.2014
  • Pro-Russia soldiers deny having weapons capable of reaching the plane. Time
18.7.2014
  • The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Euroep (OSCE) was allowed access to the crash site for less than an hour before rebels fire a warning shot for OSCE to leave. theguardian
20.7.2014
  • Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman arrive at Kiev, Ukraine. theStar
  • Malaysia announce to retire MH17 call sign and replace with MH19 (thestar).

21.7.2014
  • Satellite footage from DigitalGlobe via Times.
  • Dutch initiates preliminary criminal probe into the downing of flight MH17 over rebel-held Ukraine.
  • Russian releases a press statement (video) and questions why Ukraine had an SU25 fighter jet following MH17.

A horror story: Bungalow at Jalan Turi

A True Story What started with an online search for places to go to in Bangsar, eventually led to a very strange article marked "exciting". There were two distinct sites findbulous travel and tourplus mentioning the same story, this got the better of me and led to digging for more info of this bungalow in Bangsar. The area in general is considered as a place for the upper class and I can say most properties  there would be freehold. The original bungalow at no.10 Jalan Turi, Taman Bukit Pantai is a 3 story building with the entrance at 2nd floor and 1st floor is down one level. After over 10 years abandoned, the bungalow have been demolished and who knows what have replaced it, only media reports of the old story remains. Siblings Arjun 7, Kabir 11 American of Indian descend and their maid, Natalia were found brutally murdered in their bungalow. Murder of Chee Gaik Yap in 2006

Justice is blindly selective or just slow in Malaysia. Shahril was charged of murdering Chee Giak Yap (26years) on the 14th of January 2006 at the duration from 5.30 pm to early morning at 3.05 am near Cinta Sayang Club, Sungai Petani. He was charged under the 302 of the Penal Code which carries the mandatory death sentence once found guilty. Forum Lowyat . Sharil is recorded clearly defaming the deceased. Shahril Jaafar is the son of Jaafar Jamaludin. Shahril's parents were not even treated as suspects in the disposal of the murder weapon, no followup was made. Read Details Gaik Yap cause of death was the stab wounds to the neck. For some reason, its decided that evidence was non existent to determine the murderer. Where is NCIS when you need them? Kota Gelanggi the Lost City

Its confusing, the history of Malaysia. An article in 2010, mentioned that Kota Gelanggi in Johor, Malaysia was a evidence that Srivijaya and its Buddhist empire was in Malaysia way before Parameswara arrived. Lukey took the effort to determine if the above story was true and concluded that it might be a cut-and-paste for political/ill-intend purpose. This includes the Department of National Museum, declaring that there is no evidence of any ancient civilisation.
